Scholarship Winners for 2022-23
We are excited to announce the 2022-23 CAOLA Student Scholarship Winners! Each student will receive $1000 to help pursue post-secondary education.
Maya Post
Maya is from North East, PA (IU 5) and attends North East HS. Maya will be serving as the school Valedictorian. She has received many accolades including Northwestern PA CLASS ACT Emerging Leader Award, NHS, and is a three-year academic letter recipient. She participates in the theater, choir, and runs Cross Country. Maya currently serves as the Missoula Children’s Theater student director and volunteers at the Erie Playhouse. Maya loves French and when it was not going to be offered anymore at her district, she chose to take it through CAOLA. She delivered her video recitation in French with subtitles. Mercyhurst College is her first choice where she plans to major in Intelligence studies.
Hayne Webster
Hayne is from Wellsboro, PA (IU 17) and attends Wellsboro Area HS. He is the Class of 2023 President, National Honor Society President, President of the WAHS Band, Student Council Representative to the School Board, and Student Representative to the Wellsboro Borough Council. Hayne is an all-regional oboist and violinist, an all-state swimmer, and an all-national choir member. He is the co-captain of the Wellsboro swim and tennis teams. Hayne will be swimming for Westminster College in the fall, majoring in History on a Pre-Law track. He was appreciative of CAOLA courses through the pandemic.
Dominic Frontino
Dominic is from Shippensburg, PA (IU 15) and attends Shippensburg HS. Dominic has received many awards including NHS, Wrestler of the Year (4th place in AAA State Wrestling Championships), is the student rep for Ship’s SPIRIT program, and was on the student panel for the Superintendent Search for Shippensburg in 2022. Community service includes volunteer wrestling coach for Shippensburg Elementary and serving on the youth advisory board for the Cumberland-Perry Drug & Alcohol Commission. Dominic felt that CAOLA helped him achieve his academic goals. He will be attending Brown University where he will major in Business Economics.
