CAOLA Scholarship Program

The Capital Area Online Learning Association (CAOLA) announces the 2024-25 CAOLA Student Scholarship! Under this program, up to three (3) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to a graduating high school senior attending a school district or program that is part of the CAOLA consortium.

Applications MUST be received by Monday, May 5, 2025 at noon EST. There will be no exceptions!

Program Guidelines & Priorities

  1. We seek graduating seniors taking an online course or courses with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and scheduled to graduate on time. This Scholarship is open to any graduating senior in a district or program participating in the CAOLA consortium.

  2. Applicants must have a verifiable history in the CAOLA Genius platform of taking at least one (1) course during their high school career provided by CAOLA through their local school district or program.

  3. Applicants must plan to attend a two (2)-year community college, four (4)-year college or university, or a trade/technical training program.

  4. Scholarship funds will be paid in June 2025 directly to the school or training program, not the student. The funds will be issued to the school or training program upon receiving proof of enrollment for the fall semester, including the student ID number and Financial Aid Office address. The scholarship recipients' responsibility is to ensure evidence of registration for the fall semester is sent to CAOLA for review and verification.

  5. Student applicants must have the endorsement of their Guidance Counselor and/or Academic Advisor on their application, attesting they are qualified for this scholarship program.

  6. All applications must include a link to a brief video of no more than 2 minutes prepared by the student applicant stating why CAOLA was helpful in their high school education and why they believe they should be considered for the scholarship award.

The CAOLA Scholarship Committee must receive applications by Monday, May 5, 2025 at noon EST. Only on-time applications will be accepted. Please complete the application HERE or click on the button below.
