CAOLA Newsroom
The Capital Area Online Learning Association (CAOLA) is pleased to announce it has been awarded full accreditation in accordance with the National Standards for Quality Online Programs (NSQOP). This distinction comes after rigorous review of CAOLA’s mission, governance, planning, curriculum, instruction, assessment, equity, and stakeholder support. The review affirms that CAOLA consistently meets—and in many areas exceeds—national benchmarks for quality virtual learning.
The AccredVEd review process is grounded in evidence-based standards and conducted by trained peer reviewers with deep expertise in virtual learning. CAOLA successfully met all 14 NSQ Standards across the four clusters of quality: (1) Mission, Governance, and Leadership; (2) Planning, Resources, and Evaluation; (3) Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment; (4) Access and Stakeholder Support. CAOLA has been awarded the full accreditation for a six-year term, beginning December 2025.
